Requirements
Do I need a motorcycle license/endorsement to rent a moto?
Yes.
Can I rent a motorcycle without a motorcycle license/endorsement?
No.
Can I use only an international driver's license?
No, an International driver's license is NOT VALID unless you also carry your original license.
Reservations
Can I reserve a motorcycle before I arrive in Tamarindo?
Yes! We strongly encourage all of our clients to reserve before arriving in Tamarindo.
Can I rent a moto without a reservation?
Yes, but we can't guarantee that we will have something available for you. And you must contact us BEFORE coming by since we work BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
What do I need to do to reserve a bike?
You need to give us a specific pickup & return date & pay a deposit of 50% of the total rental cost.
How do I pay the reservation deposit?
The payment of the reservation deposit is made using a credit card or a PayPal account.
What is the reservation cancellation policy?
Full refund of the Reservation Deposit up to 30 days before the pickup date. Less than 30 days to pickup date, the Reservation Deposit is Non-Refundable, Non-Transferable & your dates cannot be changed.
Payments
Can I pay my rental with a Credit Card?
Yes, via PayPal.
What currencies do you accept?
We only accept US Dollars and Colones.
Does the rental fee include everything?
Yes, the Rental Fee presented upon booking includes EVERYTHING, there is NO EXTRA cost at the moment of receiving the vehicle.
If I return my moto early, do I get a refund?
No, there are no refunds on early returns.
Do I have to leave a damage deposit?
Yes, you must leave a damage deposit for each vehicle rented.
Can I pay the damage deposit with a credit card?
Yes, via PayPal.
Terms
Where do I pick up my moto?
You can pick up your moto BY APPOINTMENT at our location in Huacas. See our Contact page for details.
Can I stop by your shop without an appointment?
No, we work BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please call, send us a text, or an email to arrange an appointment BEFORE coming by.
Can you deliver the moto to my hotel?
We may be able to bring the vehicle to you upon request, but we can't guarantee it. During the High Season (November 1 to March 15) we do not usually deliver.
Can I rent a motorcycle for a few hours only?
No, normally our minimum rental period is 48 hours. Occasionally we accept 24-hour rentals, but we can't guarantee that it will be possible.
Can I get out of Costa Rica with the vehicle?
No.
Is there a KM restriction?
There is no km restriction. However, for less experienced riders we recommend staying within the Tamarindo/Guanacaste zone. If you are an experienced rider and want to travel outside the zone, simply let us know at the time of your booking.
Gear
Do you provide helmets?
Yes, we provide one or two helmets free of charge, as per the client's needs.
Do you provide a lock?
No, but motorcycle theft is relatively rare. At night, please park the vehicle in a safe and secure area.
Do you provide any riding gear?
Other than mandatory helmets and reflective straps, no.
Do your bikes come with a luggage rack?
Yes, most of our bikes have a small metal rack on the back where you can tie up some luggage.
General
Which airport is the closest?
There is the Tamarindo Domestic Airport, 5 minutes outside of Tamarindo, and the Liberia International Airport (Daniel Oduber Quirós), 60 minutes from Tamarindo.
Do you rent scooters?
No, we do not rent scooters.
Do you rent semi-automatic motos?
No, we do not have semi-automatic motos.
Do you rent electric motos?
No, we do not rent electric motos.
How much does it cost to fill up the tank?
The tank costs approximately $10–15 to fill.
How many KM can I do on one tank?
Approximately 250km on one tank.
